Square Chute Archive: The following is a summary of progress in our effort to obtain a complete set of all past issues of the Square Chute. As can be seen, we have made great progress but have a long way to go, particularly as applies to single month issues. If you are able to obtain any of the missing issues, please let the Federation Treasurer know.
We will have the archive on display at the October 21st meeting and dance at Calico Twirlers, Litchfield.
MULTIPLE MONTH ISSUES
At this time, it is not known when the Square Chute was first published in a multiple month format, but the first multiple month issue that is in our possession is for the months of April and May 1967. From that issue to date we have a copy for every month except for the months of March, April and May 1968. Since October, November December 1969, all Square Chutes have been published quarterly.
NEEDED TO COMPLETE A FULL SET ARCHIVE
It is not known when the first Square Chute was published, but using September 1961, Volume VIII, Number 1 as a starting point, it can be concluded that the first Square Chute published was for the month of September 1954, Volume I Number 1. From that date through December 1966, there were 136 months in which Square Chutes could have been published. We have only the 15 monthly issues as listed below. Fortunately, we have all but just a few of the multiple month Chutes. The number of these not in our possession is one for sure to a possible seven
